Customer: A1 On Track with WSI Internet Consulting Project type: Web content (SEO) Project date: June 2008 Description: A1 On Track tabbed WSI Internet Consulting to re-design and search-engine optimize its website. For the copy, the new site featured page-specific keywords to work with an entirely new SEO-friendly web domain. Keywords included both services and locations. This project was followed by monthly articles chosen to work with SEO results. Customer: Microscan Project type: White paper Project date: July 2007 Description: Microscan is a market leader in bar code scanning technology and digital imaging. This white paper was designed to emphasize the industry’s need for ESD-safe hardware — from the potential problems of ESD damage to current cumbersome workarounds. The last section of the white paper emphasized the need for an ESD-safe bar code scanner in sensitive situations, which naturally led to Microscan’s products. Customer: Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce Project type: Articles Project date: July 2007 Description: Each year, the Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce hires me to write the articles in their annual magazine. This year, we covered the history of California Avenue, the latest with Stanford University’s new stadium, the Downtown Streets Team, and various shopping districts in the city. Each article ranged between 500 and 800 words. Customer: FusionOne Project type: Web content Project date: February 2007 Description: Technology innovator FusionOne was revamping its website and needed to clean up the copy that went with it. FusionOne’s marketing director preferred short, concise blurbs that emphasized the company’s industry position and value proposition. Customer: The Animal Nanny Project type: Brochure Project date: October 2006 Description: The Animal Nanny is a mobile pet sitting service based out of the East Bay. They wanted a brochure that covered their services while also conveying a sense of fun and caring. The brochure was done in conjunction with Danielle Terrazas of ColorStory Studio. Customer: Nintendo in conjunction with Questar Project type: Manual Project date: October 2006 Description: Nintendo tasked Questar with translation of an internal API manual. The original translation needed significant cleaning up in order to be properly read by American staff. The original source material was given a significant overhaul through editing and rewriting, along with various format/structural changes to present a clean technical document. |
